    Michael J.Anderson
The three-and-a-half-foot-tall American actor Michael J. Anderson is often referred to as the ‘dwarf from Twin Peaks’. His height is due to a bone condition called osteogenesis imperfecta. Credited as ‘The Little Man From Another Place’, he appeared in dream sequences talking backwards and dressed in a red suit. He also appeared in two other early ’90s David Lynch projects, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me and Industrial Symphony No. 1: The Dream of the Broken Hearted.
Anderson was born with a genetic bone condition osteogenesis imperfecta. He grew up in a wheelchair. In his late 20s he was the subject of a 30-minute documentary called “Little Mike” (1984), directed by Norris J. Chumley, which began as an NYU student film production. He formed the New York band Wayward Gene and the Natural Selection which played in local clubs. He also worked for NASA as a computer expert.

  5. Technically, none of the little people featured here are ‘midgets’. While midget isn’t a medical classification it is classically attributed to persons with pituitary dwarfism. It is characterized by perfect proportion and childlike appearance.

Maybe there’s just too many outstanding wee folk to make a good, short list.

  10. Nobilly says:

Yep, without Billy Barty this list means NADA. Also kudos to comment pointing out the difference between a midget and dwarf.

  11. [...] 3 – Sensational midgets. You heard – Rock The List [...]

  12. Jester says:

Yeah, a porn star and no Billy Barty means this list is shite.

J.T.P., you are wrong . . . there are true midgets on this site. A dwarf is someone who has a normal torso, but shrunken limbs, whereas a true midget is entirely proportionately small. 3 and 10 definitely midgets.

  13. Dugg for midgets/little people.

  14. Catracks says:

    You forgot Billy barty.

  15. Patrick Scott says:

I totally agree with the Rappaport comment, he was a great actor. You also left out Debbie Lee Carrington who was in Total Recall, Star Wars and does much stunt work. I still believe Meredith Eaton is hotter than Bridgette Powers.

  16. Jason Patrick says:

Meredith Eaton is HOT as HELL! Hotter than any little woman I have ever seen.
